Bruno flees from Planet V, suffocated by dictatorship and poverty, in search of a better life. Upon arriving on Planet United, the Great Respiratory Plague awakens in him the Crystal Disease, a terminal illness that consumes him from within. Amid collapsed hospitals and the dead sealed in glowing blue capsules, he escapes once again with a failing kidney and death closing in. He travels to Hyspa, his mother’s planet, where he comes to understand that fleeing one hell does not always lead to paradise.
