In March 1916, general Alexey Alexeyevich Brusilov was appointed to the command of the Southwest Front, replacing general Ivanov. As an illustration of originality in military thinking and large-scale improvisation, Brusilov's offensive deserves to be studied. Its importance has been obscured by the events that followed it in Russia and the general collapse of Russian society, taking with it many of the necessary records for a detailed study of the fact. But the facts in August 1914 were different, perhaps an early command of Brusilov could have given a better solution to the first campaign in Galicia. The scenario of the wargame that will be used will not allow association with the Russian Northwest Front (Prussia), meeting our study, because what will be trying to prove is that despite a mistaken military strategic decision to attack at the same time At the time, the Germans in East Prussia and the Austro-Hungarians in Galicia (divergent strategic directions) - in support of the French ally - would have been able to at least balance the strategic situation with a big victory on the Southwest Russian Front (Galicia).
