Priest Bento is the moral pillar of a traditional community. A man above suspicion, revered for his holiness and dedication to his parishioners. One night, while adjusting his astronomical telescope on the parish grounds, the course of his life changes because of a small mistake. By accidentally touching the tripod, the lens focuses on the window of the neighboring mansion, revealing Helena — the church's greatest and most influential benefactor — undressing in the twilight of her bedroom.
